Alabama is located in the south east corner of the USA bordered by the states of Mississippi, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee while the southern edge of the state borders the Bay of Mexico.

Montgomery is the state capital and Major cities are Albertville, Alexander, Andalusia, Athens, Atmore, Boaz & Cullman. The local economy is based on agriculture with industries such as rubber, plastic, wood products.

The summers are long and winters are mild, so the best times to visit are September-October and April-May as these periods have a pleasant balance between the hot and cold seasons.

To get there, the state is well served by air and road. The main highways that make Alabama really accessible are US65, US59 & US85. US10 also cuts through Mobile, the southern "bump" at the bottom of Alabama.
