Casablanca today is a modern, clean and efficient city with all modern
conveniences and fine hotels as it is the business capital of Morocco.
Casablanca has a stock exchange and is the
largest port of the Maghreb and is a popular tourist destination with excellent entertainment, international
competition standard golf courses.
The new city has a French flavour and the old city is more interesting with
it's narrow lanes. Casablanca is not the cheapest Moroccan city for shopping
however there are many nice things from the old world to the latest fashions.
Casablanca has
beaches stretching south to El Jadida and north up to Mohammedia which are good
for swimming, water-skiing, wind surfing and sailing.
Attractions include:
The Mosque of King
Hassan 2, is one of if not the largest Mosque in the world with the tallest
minaret (towre) at 210 metres high.
The Royal Palace .
The old Medina with its souks and merchants.
Getting There:
You can get there by train.
Drive or taxi, an hour and a half drive from Rabat
By air from other Moroccan or European cities.
Tips:
Hotels are often booked out, so book before you arrive.
Never ask a taxi driver for a hotel, you may end up being taken advantage of.
Escorts and sex for money are highly illegal, but Moroccans sometimes like to
have foreign lovers. Try
Adult Friend Finder where you will find a good number of residents explicitly
interested in non-commercial sexual relationships. While there are more males on
the search than females, there are indeed an amazing number of women using the
service.
