Australia - Western Australia
Western
Australia is one of the drier Australian
states with warm to hot temperatures for most
of the year. The dry heat of summer makes for
pleasant change from the moisture laden air
as is found in Queensland and the south east
Asian countries. You
can usually expect about 8 hours of sun each
day which sets over the ocean. Winters can be
wet and the seasons follow a Southern
Hemisphere climate with Summer between
December and February and Winter June -
August. Geographically, it is almost totally
flat without many hills.
Attractions:
If your looking for the sunniest capital
city in Australia, you have found it. Perth is very isolated
compared to other capital cities worldwide, with 80% of the
1.8 million people in Western Australia living in and around
the city. It is an old gold mining town, founded in the
early 1800's and built mostly by convicts. You can travel
around for free in some buses and ferries, and the river and
ocean make Perth a great place for a holiday or to get stuck
on business as it has excellent accommodation and all modern
amenities.
Perth Zoo
is home to over 2000 animals, from the wide
range of Australian animals to those of the
African Savannah and Asian Rainforest. The
enclosures closely replicate the animal's
