Australia > Queensland
Queensland is
a huge place, larger than some countries and there is
something there for everyone. From the Gold Coast in the
south of the state to Cairns in the tropical North, there is
something for everyone. There are huge areas of land and sea
with island paradises where you can getaway from the bustle
of life, or throw yourself into the excitement and
entertainment like the nightlife of Brisbane and the Gold
Coast, or, join a corroboree dance with the indigenous
people.
Queensland
has numerous resorts and island paradises
where you can get away from it all or plunge into theme
parks which the children will love. When Dreamworld
Australia opened in 1981, its founder dedicated the park “to
the people happiness of all people”. It succeeded
immediately and continues to make over one million visitors
happy each year! The minute you enter the park, it is like
entering another world where something new and exciting
happens at every minute and at every fun.
Every themed area takes you on separate adventures of
thrills, excitement and education. One minute you are
pulling 4.5 G’s on the Tower of Terror, moments later you
could be meeting and cuddling one of the Dream world’s
beautiful Koalas. Plummet 39 storeys at the speed of gravity
(up to 135Kph) aboard The Giant Drop the tallest free-fall
ride in the world. Then you can cool off by splashing down
into the Blue Lagoon by toboggan and water slide. See
majestic tigers wrestling with their handlers then board the
Captain Sturt Paddle wheeler to watch the madcap antics of
Dream world’s own bushrangers doing battle with the law.
With so much to see and do. Dreamworld has too much fun for
just one day. You will want to come back again and again.
Including Movieworld, Wet and Wild and also Sea World.
Noosa
With beautiful beaches, a headland and an inlet-on the north
east coast
of Australia that offer space either for surfing, swimming or just
a soak in the sun. There are many great cafés, restaurants and most
of all superb shopping malls. The formula is repeated in an
almost unbroken rhythm from the Victoria in the
south to the tropic of Capricorn in the north. What is it
then that Noosa so special? It is a town whose name alone
resonates with notions of relaxation, natural beauty and
style. It is indeed a paradise as is the nearby
Fraser Island.
Queensland is renowned for
it's fabulous beaches, from the Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise to
Brisbane, the state capital, the Sunshine Coast, the far
north and Cairns. Off the coast of North Queensland is the
renowned Great Barrier Reef, A world heritage area,
the reef provides a wide variety of recreation and fishing.
Access is from Rockhampten to Cairns.
Gold Coast Accommodation
Stradbroke
Island just an hour's ferry ride from
Brisbane is a great way to get away from it
all. There is a wide range of accommodation
from B&B, backpackers and homely resorts.
The fishing here is superb, you can often
catch large sporting fish like tuna, from the
jetty.
North of
Brisbane the state capital, there are vast fields of sugar cane and
pineapples, travelling north, the climate
becomes very tropical around Cairns and
the Daintree Rainforest world of strange insects and
slithering creatures. In the far north the cape York
Peninsula and the Torres Straight Islands provide some very
remote adventures.
