New Zealand welcomes migrants and
temporary workers from all corners of the world and New Zealand
talent scouts regularly travel the world looking for skilled
workers..
Immigrants have radically changed the face of New Zealand and today
walking through any city there is a colourful mix of ethnicities,
but the biggest change has been to the wide variety of foods
available. In all cities, there are restaurants representing the
worlds nations and the ingredients for most of this exotic cuisine
can be found in the local markets.
Seasonal workers are often sought after to help with harvesting from
January to May and for the traveller this is a good opportunity to
earn and extend one's itinerary but all workers must have the
required documentation - work permit.
Sadly, life in NZ is becoming more Americanized, as a nation
we are eating more fast food, working longer hours, family breakups
are common, so for anyone coming here, the same problems exist as
can be found in most societies, but on a smaller scale.
If you are considering immigrating, taking a holiday and touring the
country is advisable, then complete the paperwork.
Beware, there are some scammers out there and keen to take your cash
and maybe get you off side with immigration and taxation officials,
but if you listen to the Inside New Zealand CD and visit the NZ
consulate in your country or follow the guide on the NZ Govt
website, your immigration should be faultless.
